God's View:
Matt. 5:43-48
-You can love even your enemies because biblical
is not dependent upon your feelings but upon an act of your will
as you respond to God's love flowing to you, l John 4:19
Hope:
John 14:15
, 21
-We are vulnerable to malice and bitterness
which will destroy you in time but as you practice loving God
by doing His word regardless of your feelings, God's Presence
comes into our spirit which quenches the fleshly desires.
l John 4:10-14 -God sent His Son to die for me while I was still a wretched sinner. He also shed His blood for the person who violated you as well. In Jesus and in God , we can also do what Jesus did, forgive those who offended us, and pray that God will bless and forgive that person who offended us. Herein God's love and power will be manifested in you, freeing you from the past as you forgive in the present.
Ps. 103:10-12 -When God forgives you, He forgives completely, and He longer deals with you according to your sins. Instead, He covers your sin. Likewise, you are to do the same, Ps. 32:1 ; 51:9; Isa. 43:25 , 44:22 .
Change:
John 14:26-27
-People who possess the Kingdom of God in reality
are people who overcome the obstacles of others faults, of their
past, and this is done by keeping God's words and responding to
life. Accordingly, God's Presence is in His words which enables
us to live righteously allowing His peace and joy to flow within.
2 Pet. 2:19 -To dwell in the past is to be a slave to what others have done to you, and this produces an overwhelming sense of inferiority. Nothing in the world has the power to make you feel inferior except if you perceive it as such. By your perception, you allow evil to enslave through your mind. Thus, your mind must be changed by the truth of God 's word.
2 Cor. 5:17-21
-Whatever has you conquered, call on God and come
free. Ill-conceived perceptions of life brings on shame, guilt
, condemnation, inferiority, and insecurity. In Christ , we
were made righteous, and being righteous, we have peace and in
peace we approach our present and our future victoriously because
the Spirit of God indwells me, not my past. In Christ as we face
life God's way, we become more and more like Jesus, and not what
the past did to me. Therefore, Jesus is our glorious hope now
and is our goal tomorrow.
